Quinta do Boição

From the several red and white varietals here planted, we point out, Arinto in the whites, that finds in Bucelas its true home, and Touriga Nacional in the red varietals.
Quinta de S. João Baptista
The century history of “Quinta S. João Batista” (QSJB) is well represented in its manor house of colonial style and it also includes an archictectural set with an excellent cellar for wine ageing and a winery of traditional style.
A brand with high recognition on a quality segment that has inherited the tradition and know-how in the winemaking of a company founded in 1881, by the hands of a great entrepreneur in the wine business, João Camillo Alves.
Moura Basto is the name of a Portuguese Traditional family from northern Portugal. It was in this region Portugal gave its first steps as a Country. To expand boundaries to what they are today, Portuguese Kings had to fight many battles, conquering each city and each piece of land by the united forces of intelligence and strength.
In 1918, José Gonçalves Monteiro founded Caves Monteiros. After the difficult period of the World War I, fate seemed to struggle to balance the country and humanity and, in this year, 23 future noble laureates were born.
The brand “Novo Mundo” (New World) is a tribute to the Portuguese discoveries, the set of sea voyages and explorations made by the Portuguese between 1415 and 1543 that resulted in the expansion of Portugal and gave an essential contribution to outline the map of the world.
Calamares is a brand with an irreverent feel that carries a funny and relaxed attitude, very much in line with the profile of its wines. “Calamares. Grab Yours” is the brand signature.
“Folgoso” brand pays homage to the lusitano thoroughbred horse, a Portuguese breed recognized as the oldest saddle horse in the world.
The brand “Enigma
Casal da Eira
“Casal da Eira” is an historical brand in Portugal. It was the first brand in the Tetra Brik format in Portugal, launched in the late 80’s and became since then an astonishing success for the novelty it brought. “Casal da Eira, Enhances Flavours” is the brand’ signature.
Brand registered at March, 11, 1946, would become an appreciated white wine with a slight spritz. With low alcoholic content, around 10%, good acidity, slightly sweet and sparkling, was very much appreciated by the Lisbon’ people that loved it well fresh drunk at mid-afternoon.
“Teobar” was the first brand of bottled wine in Portugal. A brand of reference during the 60’s and 70’s in Portugal and that has still today high awareness among the consumers.
“Rimor” is the abbreviation of “Rio Maior”, the city nest of Caves Dom Teodósio, one of the founding companies of the Enoport United Wines Group. It’s a brand that has reached high levels of awareness both in Portugal and Angola.
Initially a brand for Vinho Verde, white and rosé, Vinhas Altas has opened its range to the red wines, following the growing acceptance of the brand.
7 & Picos
“7&Picos” is a brand of sangria of red and white wine, a very popular drink, especially during summer, drunk very fresh. “Straight or with fruit”, enjoy sangria “7&Picos”.
The origin of the brand “Acácio” is linked to the Caves Acácio, one of the founding companies of the Enoport United Wines group. Acácio Moreira da Rocha has founded this company in 1954. The world was then now blossoming, discovering Rock ‘n’ Roll and Acácio seemed motivated by the music’s energy.
The brand “Amarante” exists since 1914 and its name is associated to a small city in the North of Portugal that is also the name of one sub-region of the Vinho Verde wine region, the origin of the grapes to produce this wine.
Curvada de Velha
It’s a brand of a wine brandy launched in 1975. It has an interesting specification, a special shape of bottle pending to the right that reminds, and brought the inspiration, for the name of the brand, “Curvada de Velha” that literally means “hump of an old lady”.
João Teodósio Barbosa, a visionary of the Portuguese wine history has founded in 1924 the company Caves Dom Teodósio. Betting on innovation, has led the company to recognition as one of the leaders in the bottled wine business, having launched the famous brand Teobar, the first bottled wine in Portugal.
The brand “Camillo Alves” is the most representative of Adegas Camillo Alves, company founded in 1881 and the oldest of the group of companies that would form the Enoport United Wines Group.
Inspired in the wood barrels where the wine lies before being bottled (the “tonel”), we have developed this brand that represent the true essence of the Douro wines, produced with the typical grapes of this region, Touriga-Nacional, Tinta-Roriz e Touriga-Franca.
