“Rimor” is the abbreviation of “Rio Maior”, the city nest of Caves Dom Teodósio, one of the founding companies of the Enoport United Wines Group. Rio Maior is a small city of around 12.000 people that dates back to the 12th century. This village is located in the western side of Portugal, close to the sea coast. It is a very windy area and for that reason the landscape is marked by several windmills that were used to transform the cereals into flour therefore serving the food needs of the population. The western region of Portugal has the most number of windmills in Europe.
The windmill used to be the symbol of the Rimor label for a long time. Recently a new graphic design was adopted, following the current market needs.
